Return to the Arena

This update includes item rebalancing, color-coding, a new command, and other small improvements.

You must update your client with the DDON_Downloader.exe to get the new content. Browse → Select your DDON installation folder (the folder where DDO.exe is).

Arena

Arena I-IV has been reworked. Its weapons are now more appropriate items that improve a player’s first journey through the game. The intent is for the first-time player to interact with Arena at certain milestones of their MSQ, getting weapons that will ease their next MSQ challenges. This allows players’ weapons to grow alongside them as they progress through the game. As such, Arena I-V exchange has been removed, making those previous weapon series unavailable.

Arena weapons have been condensed into a single series - ‘Polished’.

Available at Lv20. Each ★ of this gear has:

  • IR equivalent to +10Lv than its obtained level
  • Innate slayer 50 for MSQ-relevant enemies
  • Retained quality/ crst slots from previous ★ rank

Obtaining/Refining your new Arena Weapon is easy. Follow the quest to be introduced to the new system and craft your first weapon. Collect coins from the missions and use them to enhance your weapon to each new level. Enhancement pawns will become critical as the number of enhancements increases with each ★ as normal.

High Orbs & Blood Orbs

Blood Orb Bonus Dungeon has been fixed, and HO Bonus Dungeon has been implemented and incorporated into the “Elemental Eyes” system. High Orbs already drop 2x on weekends - I will make a graphic soon to communicate this.

  • BO Bonus Dungeon is now treated like a BO Dungeon with a special modifier on it, scaling with your level.
  • HO Bonus Dungeon is treated similarly, and the tickets now drop from Ruby Eyes.

New Command: /squad

/squad has been implemented. Use it to summon all of your main pawns at once, up to 4 party members.

Fixes

Bugs

  • Fixed a bug where crafting with Kythe caused an inescapable crafting error (thanks Annuate)
  • Fixed a bug where killing a Blood Orb enemy did not count for Job Log Training

Item UI Refinements

I’m going to pick a color that will represent Legacy custom content for Performance and Cosmetics. For now it’s Pink/Red & Teal, respectively. Capcom uses these colors to represent IR, then source of the item. For example, Gacha is white, Achievement is Gold, Event is blue, EXM is Orange, etc.

  • Polished, Supreme Arabesque, Blue-Storm Mithril → Red
  • Holy Night → Blue (Event)
