Patch Overview
Enhanced gameplay opportunities for Hunter & Warrior, tasteful balancing of High Scepter, and itemization, damage tuning for Fighter & Shield Sage. Alongside these changes, stat growth largely be returned to retail’s defaults.
Warrior
Warrior has become the 3rd blue vocation, only on Legacy. They have gained elemental enchantment, innate tanking abilities, and deal overall less damage. Their intended niche is a KO and Chance Attack tank - where other tanks can apply statuses, Warrior is adept at dealing high amounts of KO and Chance Attack directly to weakpoints exposed by their healer. I recommend a build focused on dealing those damage types at high amounts of Fury.
Features
- NEW: Bracing an attack now grants AoE threat.
- NEW: Elemental Bladestones [Shocked, Blessed, Cursed, Etc.] are Warrior Job Items that apply elements to your weapon when consumed.
- NEW: Indomitable Lash consumes an equipped Bladestone and applies its element to your weapon with Fury and perfect timing. (45s)
- NEW: Successfully parrying with Clarity spreads your weapon’s element to your party. (45s)
- Warrior damage has been reduced by 30%.
Hunter
Hunter’s CC options have been expanded with the addition of two new arrow types: Gilded and Stone.
- NEW: Gilded Arrows apply Gilding at an unalterable rate equal to other arrow status applications.
- NEW: Stone Arrows apply Petrification at an unalterable rate equal to other arrow status applications.
High Scepter
High Scepter has finally been nerfed in a more impactful way. It will be harder to build gauge, and more expensive to use High Scepter’s Support Magic. You will now have to play more carefully and rely less on Mirage Shift or Wall Barrier to stay safe.
- Magick Gauge gain rate reduced by 40%
- Support Magick costs increased to 2 Gauge each.
Itemization
A new approach to items has been implemented. There is now differentiation between armor classes, subweapons can be crested, and jewelry can be recycled.

- Tank Armor: Unchanged
- Heavy Armor: -5% DEF/-15%MDef
- Medium Armor: -10% Def/-10% MDef
- Light Armor: -15% PhysDef / -5% MDef

Rods and Shields can be crested freely, once. They are unable to be upgraded.
