You must update your client with the DDON_Downloader.exe to get the new content. Browse > Select your DDON installation folder (the folder where DDO.exe is).
Custom Items & Quests
Items
Legacy now has complete control over every item in the game. We can alter stats, vocation eligibilty, special effects, healing values, and functionality. As the first server to implement such changes, we have fundamentally improved the gearing, fashion, and user experience of DDON on Legacy:
- Spirit Lancer now has Arena I & II weapons, previously missing due to their late introduction into the game.
- Updated visual identification of items/currency by content source.
- Nerfed OP event consumables and Gacha items - unlimited flexiblity and evolving balance opportunity.
- (Upcoming) Role-Specific Equipment developed as rewards for net-new EXM content.
- (Upcoming) Intra-tier gearing: Developed new paths/sidegrades to power by repurposing gacha items as alternative gearing options, enabling offmeta builds.
- (Upcoming) Balance weapons vocation-wide (Fighter, Sorcerer, High Scepter, etc.)
Quests
Legacy continues to develop net-new quests, untethered to repurposing existing quests or variants. Experience new dialogue, scenarios, and scripted content, with challenging Extreme Missions on the way. New quests allow the Legacy team to communicate new mechanics, interactions, and features directly ingame, avoiding 96-point FAQs, reference documents, or Discord forum posts. As of this update, we’ve added:
- Daily Special Board Quests
- Personal Quests introducing important Legacy-specific systems and event mechanics
- 7 World Quests
- (Upcoming) Scripted EXM encounters. Challenge difficult, custom content with remixed mechanics, appropriate quest notifications, and valuable rewards.
Season 3
Containing most of the retail-relevant content for S3.0, Lv85 cap. Experience new story, new abilities, a new endgame activity, and a new class.
Rathnite Foothills
A bleak, hilly forest region overshadowed by a smoldering volcano, now scarred by the relentless advance of the Orc War Machine. Once-thriving settlements lie in ruin as constant raids and brutal assaults push humanity to the brink. The few survivors endure behind crude barricades in fortified strongholds or hide within remote woodland camps, clinging desperately to what little territory remains.
War-Ready Enemies
Through iron discipline and ruthless ingenuity, the orcs now march to battle in reinforced armor. In Season 3, foes clad in light or heavy plating must be battered repeatedly before their defenses finally break. Even the wild beasts of the frontier have been seized, armored, and trained for war, transforming into living weapons.
Epitaph Road
Legend says when the royal family faced a crisis, the heroic spirits enshrined here lent their strength. The Heroic Spirits of Akkershelan serve in their final resting place, and only those who have overcome numerous trials and demonstrated their power to the deepest spirits will be rewarded.
High Scepter
High Scepter is now available upon completion of Season 2 and IR70. Enjoy High Scepter’s high-octane, power-fantasy-esque gameplay outside of BBM.
Anniversary Event
Welcome to Legacy’s first Anniversary! We’ve developed 5 unique quests across Lestania, offering random event currency from over the past year. Obtain Behelit, Thief Cards, Special Chocolate, Attack on Titan Badges, and of course, the event currency of the year - Sweet Honey Cakes!
Event Mechanics
The mechanics are simple, and explained to you by the introductory quest. All rewards are cosmetic:

Complete the intro quest to be awarded a Legacy Weapon, offerring multiple effects when equipped as a cosmetic:
- 2x Sweet Honey Cake acquisition rate
- +10% increased XP from enemies
- +30% chance for bosses to become ‘Ancient’
- Award a chance for the second tier of Weapons: Ablaze Weapons
- 1% chance for a mystery furniture item
