Highlights: Custom Daily quests have been reworked and extended, repeat quest penalties have been implemented. Clan/Board quests have a daily limit, EXMs now offer experience to non-main vocations. Rental Pawns have been nerfed.
You must update your client with the DDON_Downloader.exe to get the new quests. Browse > Select your DDON installation folder (the folder where DDO.exe is).
Board/Clan Quests
- Special Board Quests (SBQs, Dailies) have been added and/or reworked. Miner Emergency”, “Weave got Trouble”, “The Quill to Go On”, & “Thy Dungeon, Man” have ben added. Kingslayer and Culling the Weak have been reworked to select from existing enemies instead of the alternative (nonexistent ones.)
- SBQs have a daily limit of 1. Clan/Board quests have a daily limit of 10. Reset time can be viewed with
/schedule - RC has been nerfed globally AND from Board Quests
World Quests
- The WQ filter now works again - keeping quests within 8 levels of your highest vocation if possible.
- WQs now offer reduced item/XP/G/R rewards for subsequent clears. It will be optimal to do a variety of quests to level up - with the above filtering system you will always have doable/near-doable variants anywhere you go.
- Dynamic Quest Rewards (Bonus Collab Currency from quests) has been removed for now. They will return when I reintegrate them with the new rewards system in the core.
Extreme Missions
- EXMs grant 100% enemy XP to underleveled vocations if you have completed the S2 MSQ, subject to powerlevel reductions as normal.
- EXMs now have support for item replacement (like retail). Once setup, you will no longer be able to bring unlimited consumables.
- Gritten Fort Lv90 -> Lv87. Please message Negima-san if you would like to party up for this extra-hard content.
Support Pawns
- Support Pawn Combat Expeditions have been reduced by 5.
- Support Pawn Expedition timer has been reduced to 10 minutes. (After 10mins, it counts as an expedition, down from 20minutes.)
- Support Pawn hiring cost factor has been doubled.
Bitterblack Maze
- Bitterblack Earrings and Bracelets now drop 3x until the next restart, as an apology for the mode being inaccessible during boost day.
Experience Points
XP will be addressed (increased). The current calculations are based on retail’s Season level-breakpoints - which no longer correspond with how XP ramps up on Legacy. Here, XP requirements increase gradually, and sooner, instead of abruptly, and later, like retail did. Stay tuned for that. Also, we will need to think of a solution to the XP lost from subsequent clears. I would rather increase first-clear and also increase the penalty for subsequent clears. More the 1st time, less for grinding. Let’s Explore!
- Gathering XP has been halved for now. Will be reworked to scale appropriately with regard to Quest Area / Region.
